Who are we?
Lisbon International College of Social Sciences and Technology (LICSST) is an Educational Institution founded in 2017. Our main focus is the administration and teaching of courses approved by the NCC Education.

NCC Education is a British organization that offers several courses in the IT area, which are held in several partner centres, including our institution, and that allow you the opportunity of completing it in one of the many British universities that have partnership with the NCC Education.

Pre-University Course – University Access Course
International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES)
This is a bridging qualification programme for international students who want to become to the UK, Australia, Canada or the US to study at University.
The NCC Education foundation programme (L3IFDHES) prepares students who have completed their high school studies to apply for undergraduate degree courses at Universities in the UK, Australia, Canada and US by bringing their level of English up to the standard required for university study and by allowing them to meet the university’s academic entry requirements.
Programme Aim:
- Improve English
- Develop independent learning skills for university courses or the NCC Education Level 4
- Gain awareness of other cultures to inform choice and prepare for overseas study
- Get a head-start in Computing, Business and Engineering.
Course Entry requirements:
- Successful completion of secondary education.
- IELTS 4.5 or the free equivalent NCC Education Standard English Placement Test available online and has automated marking.
1st Year B.Sc. Hons and 1st Year B.A. Hons – 1st Year of a Degree in a British University
Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) (RQF) and Level 4 Diploma in Business IT (L4BIT) (RQF)
These qualifications grant access to an IT degree in a British University and they are equivalent to a 1st year of a UK Bachelor’s Degree.
Level 4 Diploma in Computing gives the students the opportunity to develop essential thinking and study skills, not only within the computing domain, but also in the context of business through a balance of academic and vocational subjects. The qualification will allow them to understand and enter the computing profession with the necessary knowledge expected within the industry and the ability to apply the skills to a range of IT-related functions.
Level 4 Diploma in Business IT provides students with the opportunity to develop essential thinking and study skills in IT and Business through a balance of academic and vocational subjects so they can contribute to a development of a computer systems and networks, databases and websites in a business context, whilst also developing an awareness of business needs.

How long do these courses last?
The courses are composed of two semesters, with 15 weeks each.
These courses can be delivered in full-time and it can last a year or can be delivered part time and last for two to three years.
How are the courses structured?
Each course has 120 credits, totaling 1200 hours of work, being that 408 hours taken into classes time.

What are the minimum requirements for admission in the courses?
Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies
- Secondary education;
- Achieve a minimum of 4.5 in the IELTS (International English Language Testing System), provided by us in the Institution, or by doing SEPT (The Standardized English Proficiency Test).
- Holders of the NCC Level 3 Diploma in Business ( L3DB) (RQF), the NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Computing (L3DC) (RQF) or the Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) qualifications or any local or international qualification deemed to be similar and accepted by NCC Education;
- Holder of one “A” level or equivalent or an appropriate School Leaver’s Certificates;
- Mature students that can be able to demonstrate over 2 years’ relevant work experience and with “O” level/GCSE English and Maths or equivalent;
- For students whose first language is not English, they have to be holders of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
How long do these courses last?
